Abstract

The present research focuses on verifying the influence of the family environment on the eating behavior of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It aims to analyze the relationship between the physical and social family environment of children with ASD and their eating behaviors. This is an exploratory research of a qualitative and quantitative nature. Its data collection instruments are an interview and two questionnaires taken from previous research on the eating behavior of people with ASD. It is hoped that the results will contribute to the identification of the role of the family environment in the process of food development of children with ASD and as a basis for the realization of new investigations in Psychology and in Special Education.
