Abstract

Banana is one of the most consumed fruit in the world. In addition to its role as food, it contributes economically to many nations generating income. In order to carry out the crop, maintenance of soil fertility is required, however, currently, the agriculture is monopolized by chemical fertilizers that can generate adverse effects. The use of organic fertilizers mainly through waste recycling is emerging to overcome the disadvantages of inorganic fertilizers. Overcoming this challenge has a great ally in the biological component of the soil, since its close interrelation with the physical and chemical components jointly influences not only the productivity of the crop, but also the sustainability of the systems. The aim of this work will be to evaluate different doses of organic compost in banana plants of the Grande Naine cultivar in the edaphoclimatic conditions of Vale do Ribeira, SP. The experiment will be implemented in the Agência Paulista de Tecnologia dos Agronegócios, Agência Paulista de Tecnologia dos Agronegócios - APTA, Unidade de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento de Pariquera-Açu, SP.
