Abstract

This exploratory research, at the master´s level, aims to investigate how recently graduated psychologists are dealing with the beginning of clinical practice in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil, also reflecting on issues that permeate the training experience impacted by social distancing and remote care. With a clinical-qualitative methodology, the study will be conducted with the participation of 14, or until the saturation criterion is reached, recently graduated psychologists, who graduated between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2022, and who had the end of their graduation impacted by the pandemic context. The instrument for data collection will be the semi-structured interview, carried out online and/or in person with the help of a pre-established script, attached. The material will be interpreted through the technique of content analysis, a deduction mechanism based on indicators reconstructed from a sample of particular messages, involving both the floating reading of transcripts, for impregnation of the speech, and the categorization for emphasis accompanied description of the constituent elements. It is considered a topic of relevance in the current context, with the expected results to raise relevant content that can contribute to the discussion of clinical training in psychology, especially considering the challenges that the health emergency situation imposed both for those who sought psychotherapeutic care, as well as for those who were starting clinical practice - that is, a moment in which the personal encounter put the individual and collective life at risk.
