Abstract

It is exceedingly important to bring undergraduate students in contact with frontline research topics as soon as they can handle it. In this project will contribute to the candidate's education by studying introductory texts in Particle Physics and Quantum Field Theory. Besides the usual reading and discussion of the texts, we will also work on producing Mathematica scripts that implement the calculations which were studied. Those scripts, besides allowing for visualization and deeper understanding of the physics at hand, can also be put in the form of demonstrations which can be later publicized as a form of informing other students on these subjects.
