Abstract

The present project aims at the acquisition, processing and interpretation of gravimetric data in magnetic anomalies in the region of the District of Coromandel, Igneous Province of Alto Paranaíba (PIAP), for analysis and feasibility of diamond exploration. The PIAP presents a significant occurrence of kimberlite and lamproite bodies, but the mining of diamond deposits occurs only in alluvial deposits or placers, since so far, the bodies of primary sources of diamonds already discovered in the region have not been found. Integration of gravimetric data with magnetometric data already available from aerial survey Area 1 carried out by Codemge (Companhia de Desenvolvimento de Minas Gerais) will be able to assist in the location and analysis of bodies (3D modeling).
