Abstract

This project is about validation of molecular targets obtained in cellular models of inflammation subjected to various stimuli and further treated with anti-inflammatory synthetic peptides. The targets are identified by chemoproteomic and mass spectrometry strategies. The Postdoc fellow will focus primarily on validating the identified targets with the use of techniques of knockdown and overexpression to regulate the expression of genes of interest and further analysis of signaling pathways by biochemistry and molecular biology techniques. Candidates must prove expertise in cell culture, signaling pathway studies, fluorescence microscopy, real-time PCR, gene knockdown and overexpression. Expertise in gene editing tools using CRISPR/Cas9 systems is desirable. (AU)
