Abstract

The clinical manifestation of patients with myocardial infarction is variable and can be divided into three categories: classic, atypical and silent. Regarding the silent presentation, although recent studies reveal a significant prevalence in the population, there are few data on its associated factors. Based on this, the present study aims to compare the clinical, laboratory, angiographic and ventricular factors associated with silent myocardial infarction with the factors present in patients with clinically manifest infarction in coronary artery disease and left ventricular dysfunction population. This research will carry out a cross-sectional analysis of several parameters between two groups selected from the MASS VI registry ("Medicine, Angioplasty, or Surgery Study"), from "Instituto do Coração do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo": the first being composed of patients diagnosed with silent infarction and the control composed of patients diagnosed with clinically manifest infarction.
