Abstract

This is an exploratory, descriptive, longitudinal research with a quantitative approach and retrospective documentary data collection. Its main objective is to analyze the performance of hospitalized patient safety indicators in the peripandemic period of COVID-19. The project will be developed at Hospital Municipal Dr. Moysés Deutsch - M'Boi Mirim (HMBM), a public hospital, managed by a public-private partnership, ONA 3 certified and reference for COVID in the South Zone of SP, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data collection will comprise the peripandemic period, starting in March 2019 and estimated to end in March 2023, and may be extended, depending on the epidemiological framework. The data will consist of indicators of quality, safety, and hospital performance, provided by the quality sector of that institution, through consolidated management reports. The quality and safety indicators will be correlated with the hospital performance indicators, namely, permanence rate, occupation rate, turnover, absenteeism, patient satisfaction and outcome (discharge, death or transference). Data analysis will be done by descriptive statistics and specific tests to detect correlations between variables.
