Abstract

The project aims to analyze the domains of sociability present in supporters associations, specifically in Torcidas Organizadas (TO's) that also operate in the cultural and entertainment universe as Samba Schools. The comparative analysis has as its empirical cutout three fan-schools from São Paulo, two of them disputing and negotiating among themselves the same space of club belonging, the Corinthians Gaviões da Fiel and Camisa 12, and a third one, the Palmeirense Mancha Alviverde that, unlike the first ones, suggests promoting greater autonomy between the projects of belonging mobilized in the "supporters" and in the "school". The ethnography carried out in the master's research, focused on the interior of one of these TO's, will now be expanded to a comparative perspective, aiming to requalify the debate from distinct models of sociability and belonging made visible in the (dis)meeting between two universes ideally close and culturally taken as contiguous: soccer and carnival. The aim is to show how the multiple belongings transversalized in the relations of cheering and samba acquire relative autonomy and dynamize fan politics in the more general scope of sociability, stretching this analytical field beyond the classificatory system restricted to club belonging. The intention is to evidence the manifestation of a "fan belonging" as an analytical key in the approach of these fan dynamics. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
