Abstract

The objectives of this project are the preparation, characterization and study of performance of solid electrolytes formed by PVA/NaCl/boric acid, aiming application in aqueous sodium ion batteries. The activities are part of an ongoing doctoral thesis, aimed at the preparation of Na-ion batteries operating in water. The cathode (black phosphorus/polyaniline) and anode (graphene/CuO/MoS2) were developed and the next step will be to find the suitable electrolyte and prepare the device. The activities of this project consist, therefore, in evaluating different compositions for the electrolyte, preparing them in the form of self-supporting films, characterizing the samples, and studying the form of incorporation in the electrodes, aiming at the manufacture of the final device.
