Abstract

This project was conceived with two main objectives: to provide learning for the fellow in a frontier research topic, and to allow him/her to gain laboratory experience in collaboration in a consolidated research group. Therefore, activities will focus on literature studies to understand the topic, analysis of recent progress and learning of fundamental concepts, in addition to laboratory activities. In the latter, emphasis will be given to learning the experimental procedures of the chosen topic, which is the preparation and use of sensors and biosensors for diagnosis. By the end of the internship, it is expected that the scholarship holder will be familiarized with the subject, and have learned the experimental procedures that will allow her to advance in research in the area in any institution, if she so desires.
