Abstract

The research project aims to investigate the electronic, optical and vibrational properties of novel one-dimensional materials. We hope to obtain results and develop models that allow to advance the knowledge of these materials which in turn will be useful for designing aplications. The proposal aims to study the vibrational and electronic properties by using resonance Raman spectroscopy of truly one-dimensional systems (carbon, sulfur and phosphorus chains) encapsulated into carbon nanotubes.
