Abstract

This dissertation, which is attached to the Project Writing and Discursive tradition in teaching: from the conceptual definition to its role in hidden aspects of academic literacy, aims to investigate the role of oral discursive traditions (KABATEK, 2005) in writing acquisition in the context of the Project for Youth and Adults Education (PEJA-UNESP). Our purpose is to examine the way in which oral discursive traditions (DTs) are placed at the origin of the writing process, under the assumption that DTs perform a relevant role in the course of writing acquisition. Considering both linguistic and discursive aspects, a theoretical-methodological framework is adopted, based on the hypothesis that the oral way of enunciating compose the genesis of the relations established between the subject and the written text (CORRÊA, 1997). Through a qualitative analysis, the results to be achieved are expected to collaborate, specifically, with the improvement of the quality of the work offered by the PEJA, and, finally, with the discussion about the hidden aspects of academic literacy (STREET, 2009, 2006).
