Abstract

This IC will support the participation the student in the neutron generator (NG) experimental effort of our group. Its main goal is that the student study and understand how a Deuteron-Deuteron (DD) NG works, and the importance of NG phase for the low energy recoil measurements in Liquid Argon. Within this goal the student will contribute to the NG installation at our lab located in the Linear Accelerator Laboratory (LAL) at IFUSP. This includes not only the NG itself, but the shields, and neutron detectors.It is also a goal that the student will be acquainted with the topic, understanding the dark matter quest, and direct detection experimentssuch as the DarkSide. It is also expected that the student will be knowledgeble on the ReD detector.
