Abstract

This project aims at the development of compact biological filters for the treatment of feed water from reverse osmosis systems. Different media and different compaction configurations will be evaluated with the aim of reducing the solids content (SDI below 5) and minimizing the concentration of assimilable organic carbon in the treated water.
