Abstract The project propose a systematic study of abelian and non-abelian gauge theories that govern three of the four fundamental interactions in Nature, namely electromagnetism and the weak and strong nuclear forces. The topics covered include, among others, spontaneous symmetry breaking, Higgs mechanism, classical solutions, and the Glashow-Weinberg-Salam model. | |
