Abstract

Introduction: Every year, around three million births take place in the Brazilian scenario, a demand that affects an average of six million people. Bad birth experiences can cause significant negative repercussions on the maternal-fetal bond and, consequently, harm the health and development of the newborn. Objective: This study analyze the perception of maternal fatigue during labor and its relationship with the experience of childbirth in primiparous women without comorbidities. Method: This is a cross-sectional observational clinical study, to be developed in two maternity hospitals in São Paulo, with primiparous women who will respond to two questionnaires: Questionnaire of Maternal Perception of Fatigue in Labor (QMFP) during labor, a questionnaire that analyzes the perception of women with regard to fatigue in the physical, psychological and emotional domains; and Childbirth Experience Questionnaire (CEQ-B) applied two to five days after childbirth, by way of messaging app and completed via electronic form, with the aim of analyzing satisfaction with the labor. For data analysis, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) normality test will be used to verify the distribution of data normality and a consistent statistical test (Pearson or Spearman) for the necessary correlations. A significance level of 5% will be considered. Descriptive statistics will be used to describe the means and standard deviations of the participants' characteristics regarding sociodemographic and obstetric data.
