Abstract

From a perspective of literacies studies and French Discourse Analysis studies, this research project aims to investigate the borders and constitution of relationship between scientific discourse and discourse of scientific popularization in the process of science popularization podcast scripts and reflective texts written by graduate students linked to graduate programs in Brazil. These programs are recognized for research internationalization actions and for the training of globalized teachers/researchers. This general objective unfolds in other specific ones: (i) based on the investigation of the written scripts of the podcasts, to analyze metadiscursive procedures, considering the projection of an interlocutory relationship between speaker/subject of the discourse, scientific knowledge to be disseminated/object of the discourse and listening audience/other; (ii) based on the investigation of the reflective texts, to analyze "hidden" features of academic literacies, considering the projection that the writer makes of the boundary relations and constitution between scientific discourse and scientific popularization discourse in practices of scientific popularization of academic work. The hypothesis is that metadiscursive procedures are not restricted to the so-called spontaneous interactions in spoken production, and can be observed in written textual productions in which there is interest in (trying to) control the process of sense production. The question to be answered is: in a context of podcast consumption, amid a process of disinformation and fake news, how the university research can be presented, from the perspective of its speaker/subject of discourse, in the relationship with the scientific knowledge to be disseminated/discursive object and with the listening audience/other, in scientific popularization podcasts?
