Abstract

The discussion about hunger, in particular focused on the problem of food (In)security in Brazil, although is not recent, has gained new contours in the last years. Therefore, this Project intends to understand the main determinants of food (In)security and its spatial, economic, political and social expressions in Brazil beetween the years of 2010 and 2021. To achieve this objective, the following procedures it will be adopted: a) Survey of specialized literature, thus allowing to build a conceptual and exploratory theoretical framework, and b) Documentary "first and second hand" analysis, according to Gil (2002) and Marconi and Lakatos (2007). Currently, due to the context imposed by the COVID 19 pandemic which, added to the sanitary, economical, political and environmental crisis, have brought up again the ghost of hunger and of the food (In)security in the lives of many Brazilians. Therefore, we understand that the procedural and historical relationship of the policies and programs of food and nutrition as a public intervention problem and/or political is marked by a fragmentation and/or descontinuity in face of the political, economic and social conjucture (both internal and external).
