Abstract The modeling of orbits in general relativity is an essential field of study in astrophysics. In particular, the study of galactic dynamics is based on analyzing the orbits in metrics with axial symmetry. Several works involving orbital dynamics of stars in the Milky Way model the Galactic diskby Miyamoto-Nagai's potential. Focusing on approaching the problem in general relativity, this project aims to study the stability of orbits and detect chaotic orbits outside the axis ofsymmetry of the relativistic extension of Miyamoto-Nagai potential, comparing the results obtainedin this metric with the corresponding in Newtonian gravity. | |
