Abstract

The present proposal aims to investigate the trajectories of Lucy Citti Ferreira (1911-2008) and 2008) and Yolanda Mohalyi (1909-1978), based on documents that is still unpublished and not accessible in Brazil. Even though they have integrated several artistic circuits, holding individual and collective exhibitions, there is a significant absence of studies about their productions. Therefore, the main objectives of this proposal are 1) To investigate Lucy Citti Ferreira's formation process (1930-1935); 2) To study Lucy Citti Ferreira's sociability networks and the circulation of her work in Paris, from 1947; 3) Lucy Citti Ferreira's legacy to the Musée d'Art et Histoire du Judaïsme in Paris and 4) Mapping the works of Yolanda Mohalyi and the Academy of Fine Arts of Budapest (AU)
