Abstract

The teaching of Biological Sciences is not restricted to verbal teaching, using only textbooks and the expositive presentation of science classes, leaving in the background the objectives of identifying hypotheses, observing and experimenting, which are fundamental for learning the natural sciences of life. Reading and writing are already stimulated in the early years of elementary school and the use of children's stories can contribute to science learning, in addition to stimulating curiosity, creativity and imagination, important attributes in investigative activities.In this project, it is proposed to investigate the impact of implementing a didactic sequence involving the story "A Semente da Verdade", author Patrícia Engel Secco, and investigative activities in the development of learning curricular themes such as composting, germination, stages of plant development and water cycle, Scientific and Technological Literacy, and ethical and moral values.
