Abstract

The interest of anthropology in "popular" creations (whether "artistic" or "handcrafted") is longstanding, acquiring various designations over time: studies of "folklore," "popular culture," material culture, and so on. The ambition of the proposed research is to revisit this domain, updating it through the establishment of other interconnections - with indigenous ethnology, anthropology of science and technology, studies on family and kinship, and recent discussions on environment and ecology.
