Abstract

This project aims to carry out practical and theoretical research on creative processes, fostering dialogues between performing arts and ecology. Specifically, it intends to investigate relationships between scenic action and nature in artistic practice and training. In methodological terms, the project starts from the "práctica como investigación", seeking to contribute to a re-dimensioning of the modes of knowledge production in the academic field connected to artistic practice. The research is organized into three interconnected axes, in addition to an internship abroad. In the first of them, theoretical-reflective studies, a bibliographic review will be conducted on the main research topics such as ecotheatre, ecoperformance and queer ecology, among others. In the second, field research, mapping approaches about works, processes and paths of contemporary groups and/or artists in Brazil and abroad will be carried out. And in the third, laboratory of creation, work sessions will be held on acting, dramaturgy, directing, scene visualities and cultural production. The investigation gives continuity and depth to Practices of the Present, a program of research, creation, training and artistic dissemination that I have been developing for seven years from the Samaúma Rural Arts Residency, located in the rural area of Mogi das Cruzes/SP, in the middle of Atlantic Forest of Serra do Mar.
