Abstract

This project aims to analyze the new scenario that the relationship between police brutality and media is placed in, considering how the spectacularization of the news was expressed over the exhibition of police actions that happened during the pandemic in 2020. The project will focus on the study of the daily news program "Brasil Urgente", televised by Rede Bandeirantes de Televisão. The results found in this analysis will be compared with the literature specialized in the presentation of police brutality in mediatic vehicles in order to verify if there is a constancy in the way this news are broadcasted or if the pandemic had a direct impact on it.
