Abstract

The three largest cities in Latin America: São Paulo, Mexico City and Buenos Aires (WPR, 2022) receive many tourists of different categories and objectives. A style of travel that is becoming popular around the world is low cost, and thus low cost establishments such as hostels are also increasingly sought after. Operations management is fundamental for organizations that seek greater competitiveness, so that the development of activities results in: satisfying guests, process efficiency and changing the project when necessary. Thus, the main objective of this project is to understand how operations management are perceived by guests of hostels with the best reviews in the three largest cities in Latin America, through the collection and analysis of testimonials recorded on the TripAdvisor digital platform. The interpretation is based on content analysis (Bardin, 1995), four categories: service, cost-effectiveness, cleanliness and location.
