Abstract

The first objective of the present Scientific Initiation project is the characterization of the granulometric populations of the sediments deposited on the bottom surface of the southern continental slope of Brazil, in the Santos Bifurcation zone.The second objective is the evaluation of the application of the concept of Sortable Silt for the calibration of the pattern of currents in the same region.
