Abstract

In this undergraduate research project, it is proposed the study of the constraint on cosmological parameters using 21-cm data from the BINGO radio telescope, within the context of interaction in the dark sector of the Universe. In addition to the telescope's own data, data from Cosmic Microwave Background radiation, Type Ia Supernovae and Baryon Acoustic Oscillations will also be used. This project aims to deepen the student's knowledge of statistical methods applied in the UCLCl code, which focuses on estimating the cosmological parameters of interest through the combination of the data previously mentioned. To accomplish this, the study of the physical theory behind interacting models, 21-cm neutral hydrogen radiation data for simulations, Bayesian statistics, and the use of Monte Carlo Markov Chain via the Nested Sampling method will be necessary, as well as programming in C++ and Python for data analysis.
