Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic brought significant changes to the entire Brazilian society, not only due to the direct consequences of the disease, but also due to the effects of the health measures adopted, especially social isolation. Some areas of society, however, received more or less attention in the transition to virtual functioning and, later, in the return to face-to-face contact. In this sense, the research seeks to investigate how the adoption process was perceived by adopters during the period from 2020 to 2022, when sanitary restrictions and the effects of the coronavirus pandemic were in greater evidence in the country. To this end, semi-structured interviews will be conducted with adoptive fathers and mothers, in an online format, one case in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul and another in the State of São Paulo, using the clinical-qualitative methodology (Turato, 2000) and Content Analysis (Bardin , 2011), in order to value the meanings attributed by the interviewed subjects and constructed in the transference processes at the time of the interview. With this, the aim is to add knowledge about the interference of social isolation in the construction of adoptive bonds in order to promote a more attentive follow-up to adopters of this period. | |
