Abstract

This project aims to deepen the student's knowledge of cosmology and computational methods, applying them to fitting models. This includes studying the physics of Cepheids, dark energy, and other structures of the Universe, as well as Bayesian statistics and Monte Carlo methods via Markov chains. The main objective will be to adapt likelihood codes using data collected by the SH0ES and DES experiments and compare them with the existing literature to extend the UCLCl code used by the BINGO radio telescope project. In this regard, proficiency in the programming languages Python and C++ will be necessary to handle data, construct covariance matrices, and develop the final code for calculating the Cl of the Distance Ladder, which calibrates H0, and the shear ratio.
