Abstract

This project aims to develop a research agenda in the field ofhistorical fascisms, basing its area of concentration between history and political contemporary theory. From the field of historical production, it is interesting to highlight the development of understanding European fascisms in historiography, paying attention to the difference, in classic and contemporary historiographical production, among the explanatory aspects: cultural, aesthetic, political, economic, anthropological, psychological, among others, givinggreater emphasis, however, on the political violence as a key of interpretation. From the political theory, it is important to highlight the different theories that have been developed on the structure of fascist government, in order, above all, to think about the possibility of recurrence of these movements, including the current growing strength of the global extreme right. In particular,the idea of political violence will be examined as a structuring element of the phenomenon fascist, as consolidated in specialized literature.
