Abstract

The objective of this project is to analyze the housing auctions promoted by Caixa Econômica Federal in the cities of Marabá (PA) and Mossoró (RN), in the years 2018 to 2023. The real estate auction is the practice of judicial repossession of a property, a practice that is increasingly facilitated by the institute of fiduciary alienation, Law No. 9,514/97, which promotes guarantee on the financed property. Given that CEF is the largest financier of residential real estate in Brazil and given that financing is the most important process for access to real estate. The data source to be used are the auction notices promoted by this institution from which the following information will be obtained: the year of the auctions, the location, the appraisal value, the sale value at the auction, as well as information on its occupation or not. The analysis will be based on the characteristics of the properties and the context of each city.
