Abstract

Silicon (Si) fertilization has been used on various gramineous plants, but few studies have been carried out on soybeans, especially regarding the residual effects on crop succession. Therefore, the objectives of this proposal will be the residual effect of Si doses in three contrasting soils on biometric, physiological and gas exchange responses in the second soybean cycle. The experiment will be conducted from October 2023 to February/March 2024 in a randomized block design with 4 doses of Si and 3 types of soil. Chemical analysis of soluble Si and fertility of soil samples will be carried out after harvest, as well as evaluations of height, fresh and dry biomass of the aerial part, absorption of Si and nutrients, physiological evaluations, content and accumulation of Si and nutrients in the aerial part.
