Abstract Introduction: Neonates are vulnerable to the occurrence of incidents related to health care. Knowledge about the epidemiology of incidents related to the health care of neonates in Brazil is important to indicate possible measures to face this problem. Objective: To identify and analyze the incidents related to health care for neonates in Brazil. Methods: A retrospective time-series study that will include the notifications made at NOTIVISA, the system of the National Health Surveillance Agency, between January 2014 and December 2022. Data will be collected from NOTIVISA and analyzed using Stata 18.0. Mean and standard deviations (SD), frequency, and 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) will be calculated. Trends in overall notifications will be analyzed through a Prais-Winsten regression model. Expected results: It is intended to contribute to the development of health programs directed at the neonate's safety that can help reduce the incidents associated with neonatal care. | |
