Abstract

The sealing process is present in several branches of the industry, and this manufacturing technology is responsible for preventing leaks, corrosion, and sealing of components, that need to be performed with precision, safety, and efficiency. In the industrial context, companies continue to seek the use of robots to apply the sealant, in addition to advanced technologies based on data acquisition for process monitoring and analysis. In view of this, the digitization of manufacturing is essential, and the use of computer vision techniques allow a greater control of data and provide the production process monitoring. Thus, this research project proposes the development of a robotic system for sealing applications in the industrial context, assisted by the techniques of computer vision. The proposal intends to contribute to the increase of factory productivity, standardization, reduction of costs with wastes, improvements on the quality requirements of the final product, in addition to offering competitive advantages for companies related to ergonomics.
