Abstract Affections, as modes of subjectivation, determine forms of existence as they organize our sensitivity, which demonstrates its potential for understanding the struggle for recognition. In this framework, starting from the assumption that Axel Honneth's work performs an affective turn in Critical Theory from the inclusion of affects in his theory of recognition, the objective of this research is to understand how resentment, understood as an affect that determines social relations , can contribute to the understanding of the struggle for recognition. More specifically, we intend to analyze how this affection blocks forms of perception of injustice, that is, ways of being affected by the other and, consequently, of recognition. To this end, we chose to use bibliographic analysis as a methodology, taking Critical Theory as a reference in dialogue with Psychoanalysis in order to consider the presence of resentment in politics. Finally, the conceptual discussion will be related to the analysis of Bolsonarism in Brazil, in order to contribute to a diagnosis of the present time. | |
