Abstract

The minimal left-right symmetry model is a natural extension of the Standard Model which require the introduction of three right-handed neutrinos and some scalar fields to break the left-right symmetry. In this case, small neutrino mass arises from both type-I and type-II seesaw mechanisms. Interestingly, baryogenesis through leptogenesis can also proceed through a combination of type-I and type-II mechanisms, supplemented with the new right-handed gauge interactions and extended scalar degrees of freedom. We will study this nontrivial interplay between the two mechanisms in the minimal left-right model using flavor-covariant approach.
