Abstract

This research project aims to investigate women as social subjects that are created from the experience and trajectory in the sex market, considering the treatment of sexuality and the forms of eroticization produced in this context as a fundamental locus of analysis. For that, I depart from theoretical-methodological perspectives that understand the social and relational character of the body and the norms that fall upon it, as well as the regulatory devices on sexuality and the processes of its subjectivation by the subjects. I also consider the influence of the debates of the prostitutes, feminist and human rights movements in the discussion about female prostitution and the sex industry, taking these social universes as objects of my reflection, referencing them from the research on the subject carried out in Brazil in recent decades. Field research will consist of continuous and prolonged contact and interviews with women who work in prostitution or other forms of sex work, such as the production of pornographic films and erotic content.
