Abstract

The safest place for a child or teenager should be their home. That's not how it always happens. Homes are often places where children and adolescents suffer mistreatment, abuse and neglect. Evidence shows that physical and psychological violence at home, inflicted by primary caregivers, is the most frequent form of violence against children and adolescents in the world (VCA). Due to violence having become a serious public health problem in several countries, affecting thousands of individuals, the aim here is to understand VCA territorially in the urban space, considering physical aspects of the environment, socioeconomic and neighborhood conditions, seeking to identify possible areas of intervention for the development and improvement of public policies in the city of São Paulo - SP. For the development of the research, secondary data from SINAN, SIM, SIH and Districts and Police Stations will be used for the years 2016 to 2022. Data processing and temporal, spatial, spatio-temporal and statistical analyzes will be carried out using QGIS (3.22.15) and R (4.3.1) software. The aim is, through the results obtained and products generated, to understand how the dynamics of the territory relates to VCA in the city of São Paulo, identifying "hotspots" of extra-domestic violence, seeking to identify relationships with cases of intra-domestic violence. The identified locations may be the first places to reinforce violence prevention and control actions.
