Abstract The art has been present since the farthest times, the ancient civilizations registered, throughout it, their daily life and the way they perceived the world. All along human evolution, new ways of creating art were discovered, putting on evidence important historical and social moments and proposing discussions and reflections of the dominant reality. In this regard, the dystopian literature - that started ascending in the 1940's - returns in the 2000's by the trilogy The Hunger Games (2008) and it's cinematographic adaptations of great success. In 2020 a movie adaptation of The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2020), a spin-off book of the trilogy, was announced to be released in 2023. This paper has as an objective to realize a comparative analysis between the physical space descriptions in the book and the resources utilized by the cinematographic adaptation to reproduce those spaces, as well the emotions and feelings that were intended to be intensified or evoked from the application of these resources. There will be made a full reading of the book and the rewatch of the cinematographic adaptation, as much as the reading of theoretical books, academic papers, thesis and essays to highlight the resources utilized and their similarity and divergences. It's important to notice that weren't found in the internet papers that utilized the book nor the film as research subject, that provides an unexplored and open field for research in addition to an growth in the compared literature field by the use of the topoanalysis. | |
