Abstract

The subject's participation, since childhood, in different groups plays a fundamental role in their emotional and socio-cultural development. When considering the group as a modality of psychological intervention, significant transformations are noted regarding the understanding of this practice, with the approach of psychoanalysis standing out in the analysis of group phenomena. Given the importance that the childhood phase has in contemporary times, as it is recognized as a critical period of human development, and because it recognizes the therapeutic benefits of group work to promote children's mental health, this research project aims to examine scientific productions about group clinical psychological practices with children, based on a qualitative approach based on psychoanalytic theoretical assumptions, especially from the english school. Thus, scientific articles published between 2019 and 2023 that report certain practices will be searched on the SciELO, BVS, Capes and PePSIC platforms; subsequently, based on the included findings, the aim is to formulate notes, identify the main themes that surround childhood and analyze the clinical management of psychoanalytic orientation with groups with children. The method will be a systematic review of the literature, adopting as procedures: the discrimination of the process of exclusion and inclusion of findings, which will be grouped, analyzed and interpreted through the Thematic Analysis technique. It is expected that the results of this study will expand scientific knowledge about group psychological actions with children, contributing to the psychoanalytic theoretical foundation and technical preparation necessary for the exercise of professional practice aimed at well-being and the promotion of mental health in children.
