Abstract

As mentioned in the proposal approved by FAPESP, the development of numerical tools for nonlinear dynamics is essential for the analysis of different engineering problems ruled by nonlinear equations. Even though the group already has some tools, the development/improvement of new/existent tools is mandatory. Particularly, it is relevant to have tools for the analysis of higher-order systems by means of reduced-order models.In addition to the development of these tools, the post-doctoral researcher will provide support in the general supervision of the project, identifying the proper techniques to be applied to the different problems investigated in the Thematic Project and the potential gains of knowledge. The post-doctoral researcher will also provide support to the graduate/undergraduate students involved in the Project.It is important to emphasize that the numerical tools will be developed in open-source languages (when applicable) and shared with the scientific community according to the documentation already approved by FAPESP.
