Abstract

In current technological advancements, the interest in photonic crystals and their applications has been the subject of various scientific researches. These materials play a significant role in advanced optical devices, mirrors, and telecommunication systems, harnessing the ability to diffract light in periodic structures. This study aims to synthesize particles with periodic structures using titanium butoxide and titanium isopropoxide precursors, varying concentrations and thermal treatment temperatures to investigate variations in the organization of the photonic crystal structure. The chosen synthesis method is the sol-gel, which involves hydrolysis and condensation reactions of the alkoxide precursor, allowing synthesis at lower temperatures compared to other methods. The synthesized materials will be characterized using techniques such as X-ray diffraction, infrared vibrational spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, zeta potential, and dynamic light scattering.
