Abstract

Lignocellulosic biomass plays an important role in the country's agricultural, energy and environmental sectors, energy and environmental sectors. As a source of renewable energy, it helps to reduce greenhouse gases - which contribute to global warming and climate change -, promote regional development and an energy transition to a circular, sustainable and low-carbon economy, which are part of the strategies of the Biofuture Platform and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN's Agenda 2030. And the characterization of the inorganic chemical composition is important because it determines the properties, quality, application and problems related to the use of biomass. In this sense, this project seeks to deepen our knowledge of the elemental (Al, Ca, Cl, Fe, K, Mg, Na, P, S, Si) and molecular (phosphate, phosphite, nitrate, ammonium, urea) spectroscopic analysis of forest lignocellulosic biomass (pruning residues, invasive species, eucalyptus, bamboo) and agricultural biomass (grasses: energy cane, elephant grass, sorghum-biomass) and derivatives (biochar, biocomposite) using HR-CS AAS (and HR-CS MAS), ICP-MS, ICP-OES and Raman Spectroscopy. Modern, innovative proposals for sample preparation, calibration, speciation and production of biocomposites are the objectives of this project, which are in line with the precepts of sustainable rural and regional development, and maintain an emphasis on the development of new technologies for sustainable products.
