Abstract

Dentistry has undergone several changes and constant updates and, in this context, new technologies have helped in dental procedures. An example of this is the CAD/CAM system that allows the creation of indirect restorations, prostheses, quickly and efficiently, reducing clinical time for the operator and chair time for the patient. This project aims to evaluate the color and gloss stability of ceramic blocks with a CAD/CAM manufacturing process when subjected to a corrosive-abrasive challenge. We will use citric acid and simulated brushing in several blocks, namely: IPS e.max CAD, CEREC Tessera, Celtra Duo CAD and VitaBlocs Suprinity. These will have different types of finishing so that we can analyze and compare the results both before and after the corrosive-abrasive challenge. The specimens will be divided into five groups (n=10): Control (PM), Conventional Glaze (CG), Conventional Glaze with 2 Firings (CG2), Extended Glaze Firing (EG) and Extended Glaze Firing with 2 Firings (EG2 ). The color will be evaluated using a spectrophotometer and the brightness using a glossimeter. All analyzes will be done before and after the challenge. The data obtained will be subjected to statistical tests appropriate to its form of distribution.
