Abstract

Scientific Journalism represents the essential practice of journalism in safeguarding collective interests, especially when addressing topics related to Science, Technology, and Innovation, crucial for the progress of the country. In this context, the initiative emerges to develop journalistic content focused on scientific dissemination, aiming to provide the public with information about scientific practices. This project aims to stimulate interest, contextualize issues, and explore science as a multifaceted process with significant impacts on social, cultural, and economic aspects.The project focuses on disseminating activities promoted by the research project "Influence of the matrix on the functional connectivity of Cerrado landscapes," funded by FAPESP. This research, led by Professor Dr. Elisa Hardt Alves Vieira, aims to understand the effects of agropecuary matrices on functional connectivity thresholds in Cerrado landscapes. It also seeks to propose alternative scenarios for adaptation to facilitate the movement of flora and the availability of associated ecosystem services, variables that depend on the type of matrix.
