Abstract

Vaccines are one of the most efficient tools used for public health in Brazil and around the world. The same can be said about monoclonal antibodies, even though they are less known by the population. Considering the growing wave of misinformation, communicating science becomes even more important, especially on social networks, which can and should be used to disseminate reliable data. In this project, there will be developed communication strategies about vaccines and monoclonal antibodies, from the functioning, use and costs, to the importance of these products to society. Likewise, the entire practical process of a research laboratory that works on the development of these products will be shared with society, as a way of bringing society closer to science and scientists. To this end, the students Beatriz Tanzi Martins and Maria Clara Oliveira do Carmo will keep up with the laboratory work, will consult the literature to expand their knowledge on the topics covered, as well as they will develop communication strategies to expand the reach of digital tools and networks social media to create audiovisual products that meet these objectives. It is expected to reach a broad audience and promote closer and more active contact between citizens and science.
