Abstract

Social synchrony concerns the coordination of behaviors, emotions, physiological states and neural activity between individuals. Studies have shown that mother-child synchrony is important for social, cognitive and emotional development, especially during the first years of life (Abraham et al., 2021). The aim of this study is to characterize behavioral (gaze, affect and vocalization) synchrony between mothers and their 6-month-old infants during an interaction.
