Abstract

In 2005 the discovery of quark-gluon plasma formation in heavy-ion collisions wasannounced by the four experiments at the RHIC accelerator. However, our understandingof the QCD phase diagram remains incomplete, particularly concerning the existence, nature, and location of the hypothesized first-order phase transition and critical point. Thisproject aims to investigate charge fluctuations, one of the most promising indicators ofthe critical point, using hydrodynamic simulations that integrate the evolution of baryonic, electric, and strangeness charges incorporating effects of charge diffusion.
