Abstract

In this research project, it is proposed to develop a specific interface between the Computational Program for Numerical Analysis using the Finite Element Method hp2fem, developed by the research group, and the commercial graphical pre- and post-processing program GiD. It has a robust and efficient interactive graphical interface widely used that allows the user to interact easily through a Graphical User Interface (GUI), in which the definition, preparation and visualization of all data related to a numerical simulation can be carried out. , based, for example, on methods such as finite elements, finite volumes or finite differences, particle or meshless methods, among others. The proposed specific interface will be composed of a set of files, which can be properly implemented and configured by the user, allowing its customization so that the program can prepare the data to be analyzed, generating its own solution modules, which will be included in the GiD software system. The complete integration between the programs, as well as the specific implementations carried out, will be extensively validated by carrying out basic and advanced tests on problems previously simulated by the research group and also on benchmarks available in the literature.
